Olivia Lou's pre-professional dance training began at LaVilla School of the Arts & continued to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (HS diploma). She graduated college from Jacksonville University's B.F.A dance program in 2011, where she had the opportunity to perform works by many esteemed choreographers. Olivia has had the honor of touring nationally and internationally with Jennifer Muller/TheWorks of New York City, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre of Florida, Clancy Works of D.C., and Company Danzante of Virginia. Her career also includes over eighteen years of teaching, choreographing, and writing and implementing curriculum for various styles and ages. She has lead dance departments as a Production Manager, Prop Manager, and an Assistant Director of the ADC dance company. Her dance career also includes experience adjudicating many competitions and auditions. Olivia is currently based in Virginia but travels the U.S. teaching master classes, setting choreography, and private coaching (in person & virtual). Her newest adventure is her podcast, Figuring Out the Left Side. A podcast for dancers & non-dancers to have a backstage pass into the dance industry. A place to Listen, Learn, & Grow together.
